Live in Female Carer for my lovely Dad My father has early, moving to mid stage stage Alzheimers and Im struggling to balance looking after him plus run a business and spending time with my partner and grown up children. None of our needs are being met and its making me sad because dad gets lonely and frightened when Im not there but I just cant be there all the time. Truthfully, Im exhaustedIm looking for a kind and fun Carer who is experienced looking after someone with dementia / alzheimers who will work 2 weeks on as a live in carer (24 hours a day for 2 weeks) and then 2 weeks off (or possibly week on / week off). Im having to ask for Female only applications as Dad unfortunately wont accept males in his house anymore, he feels threatened and uncomfortable (even with my brother and husband)My dad is late 70s and still able to take care of his own personal needs such as showering, shaving, dressing and so on, he doesnt need lifting or anything like that. He has no other health issues. What he needs is companionship, someone to lift his mood and make him smile, get him out of the house for walks, cook his meals, take him to the driving range, watch a bit of golf / football, play some music, drive him to the ocassional Doctors appointment.Dad is a polite and cheeky chap but hes still rather depressed following the death of my lovely Mum in December - so I need someone with great listening skills and heaps of compassion and patience. This isnt always going to be easy as Dad does get super confused, his short term memory is extremely poor and he will ask you the same questions many, many times in a very short period of time and needs constant reassurance but Im sure somewhere out there is a Shining Star who will be able to help us look after him in the way he deserves. By the way, hes a great sleeper so youll get a good nights kip!My family offers:A lovely bedroom with private bathroom, WiFi, TV / Sky, Netflix etc within a 4 bedroom detached house with a beautiful garden down a private road within 20 minute walk of Camberley town centre.Competitive salary and benefitsYour mealsA supportive wider family who all live locallyWho we are looking for:
