Job Description

Key Account & Partnerships Manager (Retail / Ecommerce) - £45k - £65k DOEOur client is a leading retailer of premium outdoor play products and we are delighted to be recruiting for a key role for them to manage and grow their global distributor sales channels.As well as selling direct to consumers in the UK , they have appointed distributors in various countries around the world.This is an exciting and challenge role that in essence will be to manage their existing key relationships and to also find and develop new distributors and partnerships in other countries to grow revenue.The successful candidate will work alongside the current Manager to fully learn and develop the role.During this period the post holder will gain all the necessary skills and knowledge to allow them to successfully fully take on the role.To allow for on the job training to be given, the role will be based from offices outside of Woking for the first 6-12 months and after this a certain amount of working from home is possible.A fair degree of overseas travel will be required in the long term, so an ability to be away from home for up to a week at a time is required.Key skills, experience and attributes required:

  • Enthusiasm and passion for outdoor products - Any experience working with outdoor play equipment or outdoor leisure products (swimming pools, spas, bicycles, garden products or similar) would be desirable
  • Experience working with logistics, manufacturing , supply chain - although you will not be directly responsible for the manufacture and shipping of orders in this role, you will act as the go between amongst the Distributor, the factory and the logistics department.
  • Candidates will have a strong commercial and business acumen and will have experience working with financials and spreadsheets - the role will involve setting financial targets for each distributor, setting trade and retail prices, as well as analysis of profit margins.
  • Ecommerce experience - Products around the globe are predominantly sold via ecommerce, so it is important that candidates understand the basics of ecommerce and what constitutes a good or bad website in order to pinpoint the right partners to approach.
  • First class communication and relationship building skills are essential to be successful in this role.
  • You will have strong experience working in an Account Management role or in a position where you have been the main point of contact for high spending partners and be adaptable in your approach.
  • Self-motivation and drive is essential along with an excellent sense of humour.
