Job Description

Integrated Care DivisionCHILDRENS SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPISTFixed Term 6 months – Full time postSALARY RANGE: £24,907 - £30,615 per annum (Band 5)We are seeking a Children’s Speech and Language Therapist who has experience of working with children with a wide range of communication difficulties, and enjoys working in community settings. You will join our dynamic and supportive Community teams in Chesterfield and across North Derbyshire.The post involves:

  • Being based in the community and seeing children in a variety of settings including clinic, schools, nurseries
  • Conducting telephone and video consultations where appropriate
  • Providing a flexible and comprehensive therapy service to the designated area
  • Independently carrying out assessment and appropriate intervention for children with SLCN
  • Providing information, advice and training to parents/carers and other key support staff
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team with families and staff to support children with a variety of communication difficulties.
  • Supporting service development projects including audit and patient feedback projects.
    • We are looking for:A reflective practitioner who works well in a team and has good time management, organisation and communication skills.We will provide regular support, clinical supervision and the opportunity to further develop your clinical skills through “in house training programmes” and externally funded courses and development opportunities.A car driver with a full current driving licence is essential.
