The North Derbyshire Screening Centre is delighted to invite applicants to apply for an exciting and innovative substantive post within the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.You will have a key role in the specialist team who deliver Bowel Screening to our local population.The Specialist Screening Practitioner acts as the patients advocate, supporting them and their carers to navigate and make informed choices through all stages of the screening process. You will pre-assess our patients for colonoscopy and discuss findings and diagnosis of colorectal disease. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills together with high standards of clinical care and be able to work autonomously.The SSP will be involved in inclusive health promotion activities with our local Public Health services to encourage access to our service by all sections of our society.
