Senior Clinical Technologist (Part-time 0.6wte)NHS AfC: Band 6Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation TrustMedical Physics DepartmentSenior Clinical Technologist Medical Physics (Nuclear Medicine) Part-time, BAND 6Medical Physics (Nuclear Medicine) is a small department based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation TrustThe department is part of the Imaging Care Unit which sits within the Integrated Care Division. There is one SPECT gamma camera which is due to be replaced 2021/22 and upgraded with CT capabilities. As well as a range of Nuclear Medicine Imaging procedures we also offer radioiodine therapies, injections for sentinel node biopsies, SeHCAT administrations and pharmacological heart stress testing.We also have close links with the Sheffield Medical Physics Department who provide radiopharmaceuticals, scientific, RPA, RWA and ARSAC support.We are looking for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our small team at Chesterfield. Applicants should hold a BSc in Clinical Technology (Nuclear Medicine) or Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent experience in Nuclear Medicine. They should also be eligible to be on the Register of Clinical Technologists or be a HPC registered Radiographer.The post holder will be involved in all the routine activities, including gamma camera scanning, equipment QC, image processing, drawing up and administering diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals either intravenously, orally or intra-dermally and radioiodine therapy administrations.The post holder will also be required to work within the confines of Radiation Protection legislation.This post will require a Disclosure and Barring Service Check.For further details / informal visits contact:NameBarry V ParkerJob titleSenior Chief Clinical TechnologistEmail addressbarryparker@nhs.netTelephone number
