Job Description

Chesterfield Royal Hospital - Derbyshire PathologyPHLEBOTOMISTPART-TIME – 16 HOURS PER WEEK (Band 2)(PLUS ENHANCEMENTS FOR WEEKEND WORK)A vacancy has arisen for a part time Phlebotomist based on the wards and clinical areas working a 7 day rota including Bank Holidays. You will be required to work flexibly to cover the service. This consist of approximately 4 hour sessions in the morning, weekends, afternoon and evening averaging 16 hours per week. Please note these hours are approximate to ensure that the service is covered.You will be educated to GCSE/O level standard at grade C or above or equivalent and possess a current full driving licence. The ability to communicate at all levels and have experience of dealing with people is an essential requirement for the post. Previous health care experience and knowlege of Phlebotomy would be an advantage. You will also be adaptable and reliable with the ability to work on your own in a busy environment once fully trained. You will have good manual dexterity due to the nature of the post; along with the ability to work under pressure is an essential requirement.Previous Phlebotomy experience would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.In return we will offer:
