Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader Caerphilly PermanentAcorn is looking for someone who is self-disciplined, reliable, and capable of working to set time frames to effectively manage a warehouse, with a team of up to 3 people, dealing with day-to-day issues and delivering on-going development to the team for their client, a high volume, fast paced specialist manufacturer based near Caerphilly.Reporting to Production Manager, you will lead the team ensuring stock is received, stored, packed and transported to the Company and customers high standards, dealing with any issues in the first instance and escalating it if required. You will need to be highly self-motivated, able to work independently and within a close-knit operational team, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to demonstrate a meticulous attention to detail.Key responsibilities:Ability to accurately complete customs bookings and the preparation of all related documents and reporting, including liaising with warehouse, hauliers, air freight carriers and ocean carriers.*Complete bookings for all multiple modes and ensuring transport confirm collection dates and times.*Implement Booking In/Out system in the warehouse*Updating and sharing stock reports*Monitoring stock vs customer orders*Liaising daily with customer services, production and production planning *Obtain Booking details from suppliers.*Working with Chamber of Commerce*Tracking of shipments and reporting status to clients. *Preparation of customer KPI reports. *Completion of invoicing.*Handle invoice queries. *Complete purchase matching. *Raising shipping documents*Raising EUR1 and CMR*Requesting Certificate of Origin*Huge focus on Health & Safety, ensure a continuous and satisfactory delivery on service standards*Occasion support loading and unloading wagons; moving materials using counterbalance truck*Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager. Minimum Requirements - *Previous warehouse experience and experience of warehouse management systems*Experience in international logistics. *Exposure to custom clearance procedures. *Excellent communication skills both verbal & written. *Attention to detail required.*Current valid forklift truck licence Competitive salary based on skills and experience.
