Job Description

Our client, a large market leading technology manufacturer, are looking for a Senior Mobile App Developer to join their software development team, supporting the development of their current and next generation products, developing and maintaining their cross platform companion Flutter Apps which run on Android & iOS.This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leader who due to an increase in demand need to grow their software development team. The role can be almost entirely REMOTE.The RoleThe successful applicant will be involved in the development and maintenance of companion Flutter apps which run on iOS and Android. This role will place you in the heart of an expanding software team, you will work with technical peers and coordinate the day to day work with a project manager. You will also work with testing teams and software development centres in Asia.The Ideal Candidate

  • Expertise in native platform app development & fully aware of platform capabilities, plus a curiosity to go into technical detail and find the most user friendly solution.
  • Develops using state of the art tools like Swift, Kotlin, Dart and is always expanding their knowledge on coding best practices.
  • Experience (from at least 1 project) using the Flutter framework to create complex multi-platform apps with a variety of packages, animations and high test coverage.
  • Experience in a Flutter state management solution like Provider, BLoC or binder, as well as dependency injection and automated Flutter driver tests.
  • Embraces test driven development by writing tests on every level of the stack from basic unit tests, widget tests to e2e tests that run in their automated test lab.
  • Knowledge of common data structures and space/time complexity.
  • Works independently on tricky technical challenges. Build, test, measure, repeat.
  • Strong communicator, ideally experienced in Scrum / Agile and is willing to be part of a cross-functional team.
  • Can wear multiple hats in day to day work. You will be tasked with sprint work, code reviews, peer feedback sessions and general research.
