Job Description

Specialist Resource Base (SRB) Teaching Assistant Opportunity in CaerphillyJoin our dedicated team and make a difference in the lives of children with additional learning needs. We are seeking a compassionate and patient SRB Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Additional Learnign Needs (ALN)andSocial, Emotional, and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH).Role: SRB Teaching Assistant Location: Caerphilly Pay: £12.84/hour Start Date: September 2024About the Role: As an SRB Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with ASD and SEND, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Your role will involve close collaboration with teachingstaff to deliver personalized learning experiences and promote a positive school experience.What is an SRB: A Specialist Resource Base is a specialized unit within a school that supports students with specific additional learning needs. It offers a tailored approach to education, allowing students to learn at their own pace ina supportive and understanding environment.Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with ASD and SEND.
  • High levels of empathy, patience, and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child support (NVQ or equivalent experience).
  • Enhanced DBS check.
