Job Description

Role: SEN TeacherPay: £26,350 - £35,000 per annumContract length: PermanentStart date: September/October 2022Location: CaerphillyLeader Education are working in partnership with an independent SEMH/Complex Needs School based in Caerphillythat is recruiting for an experienced and qualified Teacher - To teach young students identified as having Social, Emotional and Mental Health issuesand Complex Needs (SEMH, SEBD, BESD, EBD,ASD,ADHD) this can range from down syndorme, mild autism and being non verbal, teaching will be 1:1 or small group learning. Teaching assistants will be in each classroom for support and direction.Essential skills:

  • Be patient and understanding
  • Be able to motivate and inspire
  • Have a genuine passion for SEND and /or SEMH
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have a therapeutic and holistic approach
  • Be diverse with your lessons and be able to reach learners at varying levels and abilities
The Job:
  • To teach in a therapeutic and holistic environment
  • To teach a classroom of SEMH/Complex needs students
  • Ensure learning is accessible and inclusive for all learners
  • To plan, deliver and mark work
  • To provide fun and engaging lessons, engaging heard to reach learners
