Job Description

Vetro Education are seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated Secondary school Cover Supervisors to work across Secondary schools in and around Caerphilly. The schools support learners in Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 and as a result Vetro Education are lookingfor Secondary Teachers in or around Caerphilly who are experienced in these rolesAs a Welsh Government framework staffing provider, Vetro Education will give you the opportunity to work in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools as well as numerous privately run education provisions across Wales.Overview:

  • Title: Secondary Schol Cover Supervisor
  • Pay: £85.00 per day minimum
  • Location: Caerphilly
  • Hours: Ad Hoc, Short Term and Long Term - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm

The role: What youll be doing as a Secondary Cover Supervisor
  • Lead a classroom of learners - Key Stage 3, 4 and/or 5
  • Preparing the classroom for lessons
  • Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs on occasions
  • Deliver pre-planned work in the absence of the class teacher
  • Assist learners at break time with their lunch where required
  • Engage learners with both classroom and out of classroom activities
  • Work in accordance to the schools behaviour management policies
The candidate: What youll need to be successful as a Secondary School Cover Supervisor
  • At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings - experience within an secondary school setting would be beneficial
  • Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
