Job Description

Quality Manager Caerphilly 21366/617£40-43,000If you are a quality manager with manufacturing experience, this could be the perfect role for you. This Caerphilly based business are looking to bolster the management team with the acquisition of a quality manager who has ideally had experienceworking to ISO9001 and other industry standards. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established international business who excel withintheir field. Role and Responsibilities

  • Customer Satisfaction, verify internal and external concerns - customer liaison / site visits. Approve/contest Claims, raise supporting documentation. Understanding of customers products
  • Manage Customer complaints responses in line with the 8D requirements
  • Structured approach to problem solving - using A3 and root cause analysis tools and techniques such as, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, adopt new process adherence and surveillance measures through good Quality Engineering practices
  • Identify, conduct, or support continuous improvement actions, R
  • Lead ISO 9001 internal and external audits
  • Ensure the BMS is maintained to the correct level and being followed
  • Identify training requirements of the department, update training matrix
  • Carry out and progress annual appraisals for the department
  • Report Monthly / Quarterly quality figures complete with action to address, update claims database
  • Support Sales/Engineering NPI with tech support on products and specifications
  • Ensure departmental procedures are followed
  • Ensure personal safety is paramount along with the safety of others
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • 3-5 years working as a Quality Manager/Engineer in a Manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Manufacturing background essential
  • Automotive exposure will be beneficial to any applicant
  • Experience working to IATF16949 and ISO9001
  • Track record of robust solution solutions to achieve year on year quality improvements
