We are delighted to continue working with a leading food manufacturing business who produce award winning, branded and own label products for major UK Retailers. Due to an exciting period of growth and investment, the business have asked us to assist withfinding them a talented Quality Manager to join their team.On offer:A salary of £40,000 to £48,000 depending on experience Monday to Friday - days 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)The role:Reporting to the Head of Technical, the Quality Manager will be responsible for all factory issues regarding quality and hygiene ensuring corrective actions are put in place and reported. You will manage, develop and train QAs and QCs within the business andassist the senior managers in growing the team. Ensure a standards including Food legislation, COPs and technical are adhered to Support in ensuring HACCP is maintained throughout the business with verification and validation of flow charts, risk assessments and site procedures Management of internal and external audits Management of customer visits and audits for the Head of Technical Specification review and maintenance Liaise with Suppliers and manage supplier approval Traceability of ingredients, packaging and products Management of Non conformance and ensuring corrective action is put in place Ensuring that site standards are communicated and maintained by the team Manage pest control to ensure it meets customer requirements Management of the calibration of equipment on siteThe candidate: A minimum of 1 years experience in a Quality management or supervisory role within food manufacturing Science Degree is desirable Minimum HACCP Level 3 Intermediate food hygiene Good knowledge of UK retailer & BRC Knowledge of food legislation & food safety culture Excellent communication skills Be an effective leader and be able to motivateIf you are a talented Quality Manager or are looking to take a step up in to Quality Management and think this could be the role for you please apply along with an up to date CV.
