Your skill will be appreciatedhere within phs Direct, which aims to deliver value for money and innovation in a role that is truly rewarding.Your role as Pricing Analyst at phs Direct:Youll be responsible for delivering the day to day price setting and management for phs Direct, our consumables sales business. Its a diverse and interesting role, where you will analyse our data to set and optimise new product pricing. This guidance willinfluence the information we then provide to our Telesales and Key Account Teams as well as on our website. Other key areas of your role include:
  • To generate and analyse customer profitability, and identify clear actions for margin improvement
  • Setting and calibrating consumable product price grids for our websites, Telesales Teams and Key Accounts Teams
  • Competitor price benchmarking
  • Identifying product switches to gain margin improvement
  • Working with our Procurement Team to identify cost increases and resulting pricing actions
  • Reviewing Sales Team price achievements, and supporting with price training and coaching
  • Reporting on price increase programmes in phs Direct.
The ideal candidate:Commercial and analytical skills are key, as you will use your commercial judgement to make practical recommendations that have a good chance of success. Youll also require excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence people and presentfindings with ease. Experience and skills we are looking for include:
  • Previous experience in commercial analysis, with advanced Excel skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of working in / within a fast paced Finance Department would be useful
  • Experience of pricing analytics would be advantageous
  • As travel to our Birch Coppice office in Tamworth is required each fortnight, a clean driving licence would also be of benefit.
