Job Description

About The RoleAs an Operations Planner & Scheduler, you play a key part in the success of phs. Working behind the scenes your skills help keep our Operations Centre running smoothly.This diverse and interesting role will require you to take responsibility for organising the most effective routes for our huge team of service drivers. You will work closely with our Operations Centres to ensure our vital services and deliveries are made to our customers on time and in the most cost effective, efficient way possible. You may also be required to visit our Operations Centres from time to time so there will be some travel required as part of the role.A day in the life of a Planner and Scheduler at phs will involve;· Using our feature rich, auto scheduling system to plan a high proportion of our services· Refine the service schedules in order to maximise the number of services we deliver to our clients· Communication with Operations Centre Staff daily thus ensuring available resources are fully utilised· Play a key part in daily planning calls in order to effectively respond any issues that may arise· Being prepared to visit the Operations Centres that you partner with in order to tackle any problems that may occur· Ensuring any service back-logs are controlled and minimised.The ideal candidate for a Coordinator role at phs will or must have:· Some logistics planning or scheduling experience· Experience of using a vehicle routing system· Strong analytical skills· A strong knowledge of UK geography· Organisation, communication and assertiveness skills.In return for your commitment and expertise, you will get:·A salary of up to £21,300 per annum (Based on a 40-hour working week Monday to Friday)·No scheduled weekend working although paid over-time is available·13 paydays per year (Every 4 weeks)·Ongoing career development opportunities·Discounts with retailers including o2 and F&B.·A 24-hour wellbeing helpline·Pension·23 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays.About phs:Phs Groupwas founded in 1963 and we are the leading provider for Hygiene Services in the UK, Spain and Ireland with over 120,000 customers across 300,000 locations.Our businesses include: Washrooms, Healthcare, and Floorcare, Hygiene Services, Phs Direct and Direct 365 (sale of hygiene consumables), phs Greenleaf (indoor and outdoor plants, phs Teacrate, phs Besafe (workwear and laundry), phs Wastekit (baling and compacting waste) and phs Compliance.At phs, we pride ourselves on our diverse workforce, and ensuring we have an inclusive environment for all our staff.
