Seven Social Care is looking for a Operational Supervisor atCaerphilly County Borough CouncilThe role: Effective supervision and management of catering operations in a designated multi-sited area,covering school meals, breakfast clubs, corporate office catering, civic functions and mealsdirect (meals on wheels).Ensure operational standards and procedures are maintained according to the requiredspecification in line with Caerphilly CBC policies and procedures and specific workingprocedures detailed in the workplace practice manual and appropriate recipe manuals.Productivity targets, cost controls and quality standards are met.Catering activities remain financially viable.Internal quality audits show a low level of non-conformities.Customer complaints are dealt with quickly and satisfactorily.Effective line management of a large team of staff, located in multiple sites across the CountyBorough.Support the Principal Officer Catering in delivering wider service development plans anddelivery on key projects aimed at securing the environmental, cultural, economic and socialwell-being of Caerphilly County Borough.Promote, deliver, and facilitate Corporate Stategies, well-being and implement new corporatestrategies to multi sited frontline service areasDETAILED TASK PROFILEOn a rotational basis management responsibility for the following areas of service delivery:- School meals including breakfast clubs.- Corporate office catering including civic functions and meals direct.- Covering sheltered housing and tourist catering sites when required.- Menu development in accordance with the Welsh Government Healthy Food in SchoolMeasure 2013.- Liaise and plan medical diets to meet the needs of customers with specific dietry needs.- Developing individual training plans, risk assessments and Food Safety HACCP plans.Management and Development of the Staff Team- Full line management responsibility for a multi-sited area team located in sites across theCaerphilly County Borough.- Ensure good communications with all catering staff within the area and brief staff at regularteam briefing sessions and check understanding of staff of written bulletins in the workplace.- Responsible for discipline, welfare, training and development, formal appraisal (My Time andMy Time Extra).- Responsible for appointment, interviewing, recruitment, selection and induction includingprocessing of wages and all related paperwork associated with employment in accordancewith Council policies.- Effectively manage, motivateWorking with Seven Social Care: Established in 2011, Seven Social Care is a leading provider of social care professionals to county councils, charities, hospitals, care homes and private organisations across the UK.Seven is the recruitment service that guarantees experienced, qualified and available staff exactly when you need them.
