Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing ElectricianDepartment: EngineeringLocation: CaerphillySalary:£33,575 + Annual bonus + Yearly tool allowanceShifts: Monday - Thursday 07:00am - 16:00pm, Friday 07:00am - 12:30pmClosing Date:24th January 2023Do you possess the expertise to maintain and upgrade electrical systems to enhance productivity and minimize downtimeCan you demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding electrical safety standards while working in a fast-paced, industrial settingThen we want YOU as an Electrician at our Catnic site located in the heart of Caerphilly.What you will doAs an Electrician on-site, youll be an integral part of our close-knit Engineering team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Engineer. Your role goes beyond just repairs - youll actively contribute to our goals by conducting preventative maintenanceand championing innovative engineering solutions for process improvement.Youll not only ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery, but also contribute significantly to the profitability and success of our business.In this role, well want you to:

  • Maintain and repair processing machinery and ancillary equipment in a safe and productive manner in order to maximise production.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance programmes to ensure that unplanned downtime is avoided.
  • Understand, deploy and seek to recommend improvements to production equipment/ procedures.
  • Be actively involved in own personal development plans to maximise performance in the role and the contribute to the success of the business.
  • Where required, contribute to the teams annual operational targets that secure the resources necessary to achieve agreed upgrades/projects.
  • Liaise with line management, other Catnic functions and third parties to deliver the teams objectives overcoming any issues that may occur.
What you will needTo be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be a time served Electrician, and ideally be qualified in an appropriate electrical engineering discipline.Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory would also be ideal, as would previous experience of works processes and control systems.You will also require:
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, drive and commitment
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to ever changing demands
  • Ability to work safely under pressure and to tight timescales
  • Good all round education with string numeracy and literacy
  • Must be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to safety
  • Understanding of PLCs is an advantage
