Job Description

Teaching Assistant (TA)Caerphilly County BoroughWeekly PayAcademics are currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant (TA) to begin work at a primary school in the Caerphilly County Borough area. The role is full time and in order to apply you will need at least three months experience of working asa Teaching Assistant (TA) or with children/young people.Initially your contract will be until Christmas, however this will be extended until the end of the academic year, performance depending.The Responsibilities of a TA Include

  • Providing support for pupils either in the classroom or on a 1:1 basis
  • Providing both praise and reinforcements
  • Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils
The essentials
  • Three months experience as a TA (essential)
  • SEN experience (desirable)
  • An enhanced DBS check (essential) which is subscribed to the DBS Update Service (desirable)
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (essential)
  • Two recent & professional references
  • A good standard of literacy, numeracy and communication skills
