Job Description

An established manufacturing company in Caerphilly are recruiting for a Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller and managing a small team, this is an important role to join a growing business in a resilient sector.Financial Accountant duties

  • Annual Statutory accounts including confirmation statement.
  • Submit quarterly VAT Return.
  • Complete P11ds and PSA return annually.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Assistant Accountant.
  • Submit monthly results to the group.
  • Compile annual budgets.
  • Responsible for managing annual audit.
  • Monitor all balance sheet reconciliations (excl Inventory).
  • Report monthly variance analysis.
  • Prepare monthly cash forecast.
  • Work closely with production accountant to calculate annual labour and overhead rates.
  • Work towards new monthly forecasting system.
Financial Accountant person specification
  • Professionally qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA).
  • Experience of writing reports.
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to suggest improvements and better ways of working with current data and processes.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and time management.
  • Work well as individual or as a team, cross functional.
  • Experience managing a finance team.
