Job Description

Climate17 are working exclusively with an award-winning engineering company who specialise in asset assessment, testing, improvement & optimisation of solar farms across the UK.They are looking to expand their engineering services team by recruiting a motivated, hardworking & passionate individual to delivery their unique range of assessments, testing & optimisation solutions across the UK.A fantastic opportunity for applicants to be in a relatively new business and work their way up to a management position in an exciting & emerging specialist market.Responsibilities

  • Utilisation & deployment of a number of world leading technologies to maximise forensic, high accuracy asset knowledge, delivering assessment, testing & optimisation services.
  • Operation of a mobile module test laboratory (Electroluminescence & Flash testing) and a range of in-situ Electroluminescence image gathering tripod systems.
  • Gather data from field tests, uploading & sorting and compiling detailed reports, allowing clients to make informed investment decisions regarding their portfolio of solar farms
  • Working occasional night shifts on operational solar farms across the UK
  • Compiling engineering reports, calculations and supporting the wider business.
  • Testing and calibration of equipment
    • RequirementsEssential
  • C&G/NVQ3 Electrician qualification
  • BS7671 17th or 18th edition
  • Motivated, hardworking & passionate about the renewable energy and carbon neutral sectors
  • Knowledge on solar module technologies, performance, deterioration phenomena’s and typical defects.
  • Comfortable working periods away from home whilst on sites conducting solar testing & project delivery, including occasional night shifts working on operational solar farms.
  • MS Office literate; data entry & collation, downloading & uploading files & documents.
  • Ability to provide exceptional client-facing technical services as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong attitude towards operational health & safety
  • Full UK Drivers license (ideally with a towing licence)
    • Desirable
  • AP15 or OP40 High voltage qualifications
  • C&G 2391 inspection and testing
  • PV string testing
  • IV-Curve testing / IR Inspections
  • Knowledge of PV-Syst & Solar PV Design
  • Knowledge of Revamping & Repowering offering
