Job Description

Electrical Project Manager – £40k+ DOE – Caerphilly, WalesThe RoleAre you equipped with the expertise to manage complex electrical projects Can you steer a dedicated team to deliver top-notch electrical solutionsAyjay Group Ltd is actively seeking an Electrical Project Manager who will oversee various projects, ensuring they run smoothly from conception to completion. This role is office based at our modern Bedwas facility where you will assist in the design ofelectrical systems, offering technical advice, and managing project finances. Youll work closely with the full project team, and also support our engineering staff to drive excellenceineverytask.Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct management of electrical projects, including initial assessments, system design, customer quotations, installation, and final handover.
  • Attend site visits and client meetings throughout the UK.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, engineers, and team members.
  • Organize labour, including subcontractors, ensuring projects are staffed appropriately.
  • Manage project costs to maintain budgets.
  • Foster strong relationships with existing clients and develop new customer opportunities.

The Person
  • Holds recognised electrical qualifications and can interpret tender drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrates experience managing electrical installation projects.
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical systems including commercial and industrial installations.
  • Up to date with BS7671 and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Experience with Testing and Inspection (initial Verification and Periodic Inspection) is expected.
  • Engineering/Installer background with a minimum SSSTS qualification, preferably holding SMSTS/CSCS Black Card.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirables:
  • Electrical Design and Verification qualification.
  • Experience with electrical design software and AutoCAD.
