Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children who face various challenges Do you have experience or interest in working with children who have behavioural, emotional, social, and mental health needs, as well as autism spectrum disorderand complex trauma If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the teaching assistant role we have available.Our client is a special school based in Caerphilly that provides a nurturing and supportive environment for children aged 5 to 16 who have a range of difficulties and needs. We are looking for a long term teaching assistant to join our team on a temp toperm basis, starting as soon as possible.As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and other staff to support the learning and development of the pupils, both in and out of the classroom. You will also help with the pastoral care and behaviour management of the pupils,ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.The ideal candidate for this role will have:- A positive and flexible attitude- A calm and patient approach- A genuine interest in working with children with special needs- A relevant qualification or experience in education, care, or fostering (desirable but not essential)The benefits of working with us include:- A competitive salary of £12.74 per hour- A friendly and supportive staff team- A rewarding and fulfilling career- A chance to make a real difference in the lives of children who need it mostThe working hours are Monday to Friday, term time only, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
