Job Description

Design engineer required to join a global manufacturing company that has been trading for over 70 years. They have seen consistent growth in recent years and offer an excellent benefits package inclusive of a potential annual bonus of up to 10% andBUPA medical cover.You will work closely with the engineering manager and will enjoy working on a variety of projects as a high percentage of the companys projects are bespoke to the customers requirements.Design engineer responsibilities will include:

  • Producing equipment outline drawings and layouts for the end customer
  • Producing detailed drawings, layouts and procedures for the manufacturing department
  • Interpreting customer requirements and technical specifications
  • Working to set schedules for completion of models and drawings
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure availability and delivery of required components
  • Keeping technical files up to date with any drawing changes
To apply for the design engineer position, you will need:
  • Previous experience of working in the design function of a manufacturing environment
  • CAD experience (AutoDesk Inventor)
  • A recognised technical qualification in a relevant field (ideally degree level)
  • Experience in designing with sheet metal, metal machined components, fabricated parts, etc.
