Job Description

Commercial Contracts Solicitor - In-House Hoop Professional Services are delighted to be working with a National Business Services Provider who are currently seeking a Junior Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join the existing team of In-House lawyers. Due to a steady and consistent period of growthmy client is looking to appoint a a junior commercial counsel to join their small and collaborative team based in Caerphilly.As our Commercial Counsel, youll be at the forefront of providing extensive commercial support across the business. Embrace the opportunity to wield autonomy while expertly managing stakeholder relationships. Strong experience in B2B commercial contracts isessential to this role with a strong background in contracts, IT contracts, and tenders.Key responsibilities:

  • Navigate a spectrum of legal matters, including contracts, regulatory affairs, and compliance.
  • Offer top-notch legal advice and support, focusing on corporate, commercial, and regulatory concerns.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with external counsel when the need arises.
  • Craft a variety of legal documents and support materials, including cutting-edge contract templates.
  • Dive into negotiations on a range of commercial contracts, showcasing your prowess.
  • Play a pivotal role in providing training on commercial and legal considerations to different business departments.
  • Support the legal department in various initiatives and improvements.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5 years PQE in commercial law and although previous experience working within an In-House role is desirable it is not essential for the right person who is keen to make the move from private practice if other criteriais met. You will have excellent drafting and negotiation skills, work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and the ability to work autonomously.In return the organisation can offer a competitive salary and benefits package and the option of a flexible, hybrid working pattern consisting of three days in the office and 2 days working remotely (after an initially period of bedding in). The role is basedin the Caerphilly Head Office which has free on site parking and is situated close to local amenities and is accessible via public transport.
