Job Description

Join a National, industry leader as the Commercial Contract Solicitor in their Caerphilly based Head Office. The Commercial Contracts Solicitor will provide broad and varied commercial support across the business whilst maintaining a high level of autonomy and managing stakeholder relationships.Experience in B2B commercial contracts essential, and experience with procurement contracts, IT contracts and tenders would also be ideal.Main Responsibilities

  • Advise on a broad range of legal matters including contracts, regulatory and compliance
  • Provide sound legal advice and support to business divisions relating to corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
  • Liaise with external counsel where required
  • Draft a wide range of legal documents and support materials including standard contact templates for use by the business divisions
  • Negotiations on a broad range of commercial contracts with counter parties and their lawyers
  • Provide training to business departments such as commercial and legal considerations and regulatory changes where required
  • Support legal department in a wide range of initiatives, and improvements
Skills Required
  • Qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales with 2-5 years PQE in the field of commercial law and commercial contracts
  • Previous experience working in a commercial role and negotiating contracts
  • Excellent drafting and negotiating skills
  • Strong knowledge of commercial law, and compliance
  • Ability to work autonomously
