Job Description

Job Title: CNC MachinistLocation: CaerphillySalary: £25,000 to start going to £28,000 after probation (shift allowance on top)Hours: Full time. Working hours will be while training on daysMon - Weds 6.00 - 16.00 Thursday 6.00 - 15.30After training the hours will beMorningsMon - Thursday 6.00 - 14.30 Fri 6.00 - 12.00Afternoons Mon - Weds 14.00 - 24.00 Thursday 14.00 - 23.30Here at The Recruitment Co we are currently recruiting a CNC Machinist to work for a client of ours based in Caerphilly.Main Job roles:

  • The machining of valve components in accordance with company standards and customer requirements
  • Familiar with Fanuc / Heidenhein controls with the ability to program/ edit at the machine or via a DNC link (essential)
  • Ability to understand Engineering drawings
  • The programs and setting sheets are updated and controlled
  • To ensure components are machined in accordance with Route cards, Engineering drawings & Standard work
  • Ensure that all work undertaken is done in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety procedures
  • To carry out the inspection of components prior to delivery to stores
  • Responsible for the housekeeping and maintenance of the work and equipment
  • Ensure the machinery and equipment is maintained (TPM)
  • Experience machining materials such as Carbon steels / Stainless steels / Super Duplex / Titanium / Aluminium Bronze (preferable)
  • Ability to use 3D programming software - Solidcam ( not essential )
  • Training given to the right candidate
