Job Description

Join this highly ambitious, market leader in their Caerphilly office as the Buying Assistant. This company offers exceptional working environment with first-class Customer service, employee loyalty & benefits and focus on development and career advancement.Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this is an opportunity to join a team with the ability to positively impact the Companys performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the material control of post contract direct materials (to supportnew product introduction and manufacturing) and branded finished goods.Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain an uncompromising accuracy of critical part master detail (lead times, contact info, MOQ) within the MRP system.
  • Analyse, Interpret, and evaluate the MRP system/s, creating, releasing, and maintaining orders accordingly.
  • Create associated sales order records where dual MRP systems are operational (IFS/Oracle for example.)
  • Expedite open orders in a controlled manner to ensure manufacturing schedule can be achieved.
Skills Required
  • Experience in understanding technical content, drawings, specifications, and statements of work.
  • Able to build and nurture relationships with suppliers/partners.
  • Logical problem-solving skills.
  • Able to make well-reasoned decisions whilst working at pace and with conflicting priorities.
