Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities Do you have the skills and experience to help them achieve their full potential If so, you might be the perfect candidate for a teaching assistantrole for our school based in Caerphilly!The school caters for pupils aged 3-19 with a range of complex learning difficulties, including autism, physical and sensory impairments, and medical needs. We offer a stimulating and nurturing environment, where every pupil is valued and respected.As a teaching assistant, you will work under the direction of the class teacher and the senior leadership team to provide high-quality support for the learning and development of our pupils. You will assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, theassessment and recording of progress, and the management of behaviour and safety. You will also contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, events, and training.To be eligible for this role, you must have:- A minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in supporting teaching and learning- Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities- A positive and flexible attitude, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils- A willingness to learn and develop your professional practiceThe pay for this role will be between £75 - £85 per day, dependent on experience. We are looking for both full-time and part-time candidates, starting after half term on 19th February 2024.
