Job Description

Laboratory SupervisorBury St Edmunds, SuffolkFull time & permanentExcellent salary & benefitsI am working with a manufacturing company who produce animal health products, and currently have an exciting vacancy for a Laboratory Supervisor who will report directly to the Laboratory Manager. This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced candidate working within a laboratory environment who is keen to make the step up into a more supervisory position.Duties of the role will include:

  • Overseeing the smooth running of the QC lab – ensuring the team are organised on a daily basis to support the business needs
  • Ensure the team adhere to safety, compliance and QA regulations
  • Staff management and training where required
  • Assisting with QC testing where required, identifying any abnormal results, and then conducting investigations
  • Conducting method validation and transfer where required
  • Support the QA team with internal audits
    • Skills/experience required:
  • QC laboratory experience – ideally within GMP
  • Supervisory/leadership experience
  • Proficient with several analytical techniques including HPLC, FTIR, AA, XRF
  • Method validation and transfer experience
  • BSc/MSc in a Chemistry related area
