Job Description

Study Programme Work Experience Officer to start Feb 2024Permanent Full TimeBury, Lancashire - with travel to some of my clients other site in Accrington£21.5k Plus Company Car and great benefits - Privileges package includes, 22 days holiday rising to 27 after one years service plus bank holidays, option to purchase up to 10 days holidays per year, casual dress and 2pm finish on a Friday, healthcare foryou and the family, long service awards, extensive training and development opportunities, team build activities and events and much more !This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a top-quality Training Provider with a proven track record in the Training and Development sector.Our award winning training provider have an excellent opportunity for the right person to work as part of their dedicated Study Programme team as a Work Experience Officer in our clients Bury centre. (The team, work across centres when required)The role of the Work Experience Officer will be to ensure a sufficient bank of work experience placements are available for students, supporting the students and employers via regular reviews and promoting progression onto an apprenticeship or another progressionopportunity.Duties include:

  • To ensure a full Company Induction is carried out on the commencement of every study programme learners’ work experience.
  • To identify suitable companies for students to attend for work experience and accompany students on initial visits.
  • To liaise with the Health & Safety team to ensure that all placements have received a health and safety check prior to placing the students in the company
  • To undertake Work Ready’ interviews with students following our clients quality system
  • To respond positively to resolve any work experience problems that may arise
  • To make reasonable and practicable efforts to remove any personal barriers that could affect the students’ progression
  • To monitor students ensuring continued progression towards completion of their programme as per programme agreement. Where students are falling behind schedule extra support must be made available
  • To work with the student to secure a progression opportunity on completion of their programme.
  • To adopt a rigorous approach to saving potential early leavers
  • To ensure targets for new student starts targets are met for the provision
  • To participate in any Study Programme promotional events e.g. Careers Conventions, parents’ evenings, job fairs, open days, etc.
