Job Description

Tradewind are recruiting!I am currently recruiting for a Unqualifed Teaching Assistant to support pastoral care in a 11-16 provision in Bury for a full-time role starting as soon as possible.The role is offered initially on a temporary basis but may become a permanent appointment.This is a full-time, long-term supply role, paying up to £85 a day.The RoleUnqualifed Teaching AssistantFive days a week - 8.00am to 4pmPastoral and student welfare supportSupporting on all pastoral matters across the school and ensuring that the school remains anexample of best practice in relation to pastoral care, equality, inclusion and anti-bullyingEnsuring appropriate systems for monitoring pastoral matters are maintained, andeffectively sharing information across staffSupporting form tutors to maintain standards and excellence in tutoringEnsuring compliance to all Ofsted guidance relating to pastoral care, attendance,behaviour and welfare of pupilsWorking collaboratively with parents, carers, external agencies such as social services and the wider community on current pastoral issues to ensure excellent care and welfare of pupilsSupporting the schools Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure safeguarding and child protectionWorking to ensure that statutory and local safeguarding policies, procedures andsystems are compliant and implemented effectivelyWhere required, additional duties and responsibilities related to pastoral care and student welfare as designated by the senior leadership team.The SchoolSuccessful 14-19 academyOfsted"The curriculum has been redesigned to ensure that it meets the needs and interests of pupils so that they can make better progress.   • Have a minimum of six months experience of working with children aged 11 to 16 in a similar pastoral or student welfare role supported by references
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Bachelors degree or relevant vocational qualifications
