Our client is a leading supplier of Car Ownership Schemes in the UK, having a strong client base in Automotive and Corporate sectors and working in partnership with 25 manufacturer brands to deliver schemes to more than 300 businesses and 2000 franchise dealerships.In this role you will be expected to understand and interpret the technical elements of our clients business in order to manage and deliver the brand strategy to proactively create supporters and promoters within the automotive industry.The RoleThe role will be responsible for analysing, documenting, reviewing, designing and developing user interfaces in both Windows and Web-based applications with a strong focus on consistency, performance, brand and user experience.The role is also responsible for ensuring that the business is at the forefront of technologies where applicableResponsible for multiple aspects of the business including Pricing, IT & Development, Commercial Operations, Financial Transactions, Management Accounting and Reporting.The development team are responsible for the company Bespoke Internal Application & Client Websites integrated with third-party products where applicable.The team goals are to be the leaders of change within the business, embedding wherever possible the systems and processes within our clients workflow further enhancing the interaction with the company.The Responsibilities* Review current systems to gain not only a technical understanding but also how this system is used and integrated within the business* Work with the development team and business analysts to design and build user interfaces to function across multiple platforms* Produce front-end code and visual comps to create a polished and highly functional user interface with a focus on consistency, usability and simplicity of design* Developing user interfaces for both the bespoke internal windows application and client-facing websites* Analyse and examine our existing systems in detail and define a feasible strategy to improve the UI in terms of user experience, usability and consistency* Presenting ideas for system improvements and challenging existing technologies and methodologies where appropriate and identify any potential cost or time saving* Collaborate with end-users of applications, including internal and external customers, to determine user needs and adapt programming accordingly* Produce technical UI specifications where appropriate* Ensure software operates ideally across a range of programs and platforms, including Microsoft products and various mobile operating systems* Work within and contribute effectively to the Agile framework/methodology implemented and used by the company* Use graphic design software to create branding and logos and incorporate visual elements into programming with the goal of creating a streamlined design and a pleasant but visually simple user interface* Conduct thorough testing of user interfaces in multiple platforms to ensure all designs render correctly and systems function properly, incorporating feedback from actual potential users as well as members of the design team* Comply with project plans, business goals and industry standards* Liaise with the marketing team to ensure any material created that is publicly viewable meets with the marketing teams requirements and strategy* Cross technical boundaries that are out of any comfort zone - for example willing to work on desktop technologies if primarily a web UI developer* Conduct thorough testing of user interfaces in multiple platforms to ensure all designs render correctly and systems function properly, incorporating feedback from actual potential users as well as members of the design team* Maintain code/documents within GIT Source Control* Undertaking R&D and Investigating new technologiesThe Person Profile* Degree in computer science or information technology* Strong understanding of front-end coding and development technologies* A good understanding of the Microsoft.Net Framework* Knowledge of C#* Experience of one or more of the following:- a) Windows Forms / WPF b) Microsoft ASP.NET MVC c) Web technologies, including JavaScript, BootStrap, HTML, CSS* Git* In-depth understanding of browser rendering engines* Basic understanding of the automotive industry* Azure DevOps* Good interpersonal skills.* Understanding of key design principles.* Good problem-solving skills.* Any Azure development experience Required skills
