We are looking to recruit two enthusiastic and innovative Stroke Physicians to join our dynamic team, working on our Primary Stroke Centre at Fairfield General Hospital in Bury and our two stroke rehabilitation units. You will be joining a highly motivated and highly performing Stroke Team at Pennine Acute Hospital NHS Trust and will be one of seven Stroke Physicians working on the Fairfield General Hospital site. You will be expected to support Stroke Services and participate on the thrombolysis on-call rota at Fairfield General Hospital and you will be expected to participate in the general medical on-call rota.This is an exciting time to join the Stroke Services team within Pennine as the successful candidate will be working at Fairfield General Hospital’s Primary Stroke Centre which is recognised as one of the best performing stroke units in the Country. We are one of 1 hyper-acute units in Greater Manchester and are proud to say we provide award-winning services to all patients.You would be joining a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Consultants, Middle-Grade Doctors, Nursing Specialists, Thrombolysis Nurses and Senior Stakeholders.We would welcome applications from Geriatricians or Acute Physicians seeking to develop themselves as stroke physicians within a directorate that participates actively in a number of research programs. We would also welcome applications from Specialist Registrars, seeking the next step up to Consultant in their careers.
