Job Description

Sales Office Administrator - BuryThe Cormar Carpet Company is an award-winning, British, family-run business and has been making carpets since 1956 at our two mills in Lancashire. We make and deliver our carpets from our distribution sites in Hemel Hempstead and Bury to over 3,000 Cormarretailers across the UK and Ireland, using our own fleet of vehicles. Weve won over fifty carpet and flooring industry awards, including being voted "Best Carpet Manufacturer 2022" by readers of Interiors Monthly and F1 "Carpet Supplier of The Year" for 13consecutive years.Main Duties: To contribute to the effective running of Cormars Sales Office. Daily duties include receiving and inputting business to business Sales Office orders using a web based portal ordering system, dealing with all types of enquiries, chasing deliveries, checking price enquiries and any other duties as from time to time directed by the Team Leader.Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the achievement of the organisation and department goals through completion of daily duties to required standards
  • Enter orders promptly and accurately
  • Problem solve in line with the customers requirements
  • Apply a professional manner when dealing with customers both internal and external
  • Flexibility to cover team and other duties as and when required

Ideal Skills / Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate effectively within the team, in the wider organisation and with customers
  • Knowledge of how the department works and how it fits in with the rest of the organisation
  • Ability to work under pressure and to agreed deadlines
  • IT and administration skills commensurate with effectively fulfilling the role
  • Reliable, punctual, conscientious and motivated to carry out the works required
Hours: 21-35 hours per weekSalary & Package:
  • £26,027 (pro-rata)
  • Permanent or fixed term for 12 months, 21 - 35 hours per week
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Holidays 31 days including bank holidays increasing to 35 days after 5 years service
  • Matched pension after 3 months service, minimum contribution 4%
  • Health care scheme after 3 months service
