This very successful North West business who have been operating for over 100 years are looking for an experienced Process Operator. The company specialise in the manufacturing of glues and adhesives. They buy in raw materials and make into rubbers, which are dissolved into solvents. They have an immediate opportunity for a Process Operator with a salary of GBP20,987 and benefits including 23 days holidays plus bank holidays, free parking and pension scheme. The successful candidate will need to hold a Counterbalance Forklift truck license.About the Role:Working in the factory, you will be carrying out a varied role. Duties will include: Taking deliveries of bulk raw materials Operating a forklift truck Off loading deliveries onto pallets including manual handling and then into the warehouse Weighing out raw materials (both liquids and solids) and putting them into a vessel which will then make a batch Once ready, the liquids then need to be drummed into small pails, drums or IBCs Working within specific health and safety guidelines Ensuring that work stations at kept clean and safe at all times Limiting the use of waste materials Ensuring accurate records are kept at all times Essential Skills & Experience:The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar process operator or production operative role with experience of hazardous chemicals. You will have experience of batch manufacturing or chemical manufacturing (ideally both) and have a current counterbalance FLT licence. Due to the physical nature of the role, you must be capable of manual handling up to 25 kilos. You will need the ability to use HMI panels. You will have grade A-C English and Maths (or equivalent) and a good general standard of English and numeracy.
