Job Description

Morgan Hunt is happy to be working with an FE College in Greater Manchester that are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join their team.Perm - up to £32,756 DOEWe are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer who can deliver excellent and inclusive teaching and learning in the classroom so that learners are inspired to succeed and progress.The Ideal College Lecturers will be responsible for:

  • Delivering the full Further Education and Training qualification in Mechanical Engineering equivalent up to Level 3
  • Planning and coordinating lessons, resources and support to enable learners to achieve their qualifications
  • Using college database to track learners progress and create ILPs
  • Working with the line manager to ensure standards are met
  • Managing and achieving targets set by line manager
  • Engaging different learners through a range of teaching resources
  • Attend all meetings and appropriate staff and curriculum development activities as required
  • Ensure that the VLE and e-learning portals are regularly updated and developed to support learning in associated programmes
  • Contribute to completion of course team portfolio.
  • To be a Personal Tutor and contribute to the delivery of a full Personal Development and study programme entitlement to learners.
The College Lecturers will:
  • Have substantial vocational experience in a teaching role within your specialist area setting or Further Education and Training
  • Have a full recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent experience lecturing/ teaching in the Further Education and Training
  • Have the ability to engage different learners through a range of teaching resources
  • Have a valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • A willingness to teach within your specialist area
  • QTS/QTLS or willingness to work towards, is desirable
  • Integrate high quality formative assessments into classroom delivery.
