Job Description

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANTBURY£42,000 - £46,000 + BENEFITS HYBRID WORKING IMMEDIATE INTERVIEWS AVAILABLETHE OPPORTUNITY:Get Recruited is working exclusively with an established education facility based in Bury. My client are looking to hire a qualified management accountant to join the busy finance team of 6 and support the head of finance. The ManagementAccountant duties will include:MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provide support to the Head of Financial Services.
  • Prepare the monthly monitoring report for agency budgets v spend
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounting reports
  • To assist in the production of Year End Statutory Accounts
  • Responsible for budgets - monitoring, setting, virements, upload and forecasting and to assist in the 3 year planning
  • To provide monthly budget holder reports for business review
  • To maintain and build business partner relationships with budget holders by providing support financial advice, training and analysis of their budgets, commitments and expenditure
  • To monitor and overview the college revenue projects
  • Carry out monthly reconciliations as applicable to role
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of VAT return to HMRC
  • Prepare a financial model for capturing contribution analysis
  • Oversee financial ledgers (namely general/purchase/sales) ensuring accounts are reconciled monthly and investigate variances
  • To cover for the Financial Accountant as required
  • Assist in the continuous development of the new finance package, and other software systems used by the section, contributing to innovation and sharing good practice.
MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT KEY EXPERIENCE:
  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA Qualified
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within the education or public sector
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills
