Bury College is welcoming applications for a Learning and Skills Coach to join our Dental provision on a Permanent basis. This role would suit either an experienced Assessor, or someone with a background in the Dental industry who is looking for a changeof career.The position of Learning and Skills Coach - Dental is predominantly responsible for delivering the knowledge required for the relevant qualification to Apprentices in the workplace.Following and abiding by the College Standards and Core Principals and assuring excellence in the experience, progress and outcomes for the Apprentices and their employers, you will inspire, motivate and raise learners aspirations and participate in thedevelopment, planning and delivery of a range of standards, frameworks and programmes within your curriculum area.Delivering consistently good or better learning outcomes and progress by employing an effective variety of learning methods, skills development, coaching and mentoring, you will carry out practical assessments and demonstrate a commitment and value of theimportance of maths, English and ICT skills to the learners future and ensure the learners are full engaged in continual development of these skills.Candidates for this role must have experience in a relevant occupational setting and a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in that occupational specialism. Candidates should also either have an Assessor and/or Verifier Award (or equivalent), or be willingto work towards this during their probation period. Ideally with experience of delivering Employer Responsive programmes including Apprenticeships, you must be capable of tracking, monitoring and providing feedback on learner progress to management, learnersand employers.Due to the field based nature of the role, you must hold a full driving licence, have the use of a car and be willing to travel within the Greater Manchester region.Bury College is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity, celebrating diversity, safeguarding its learners and expects all staff to share these commitments.Please note that new guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022 requires us to carry out an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
