Job Description

Are you a creative, dynamic Teaching Assistant Do you have experience working in Primary Schools Are you looking for the next step in your education career Contact Tradewind today!We are looking to recruit a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in Whitefield.About the Role:The successful candidate will be welcomed into a friendly, supportive team. The KS1 Teaching Assistant role includes:

  • Assisting the class teacher in the organisation and preparation of the classroom.
  • Teaching phonics lessons to groups of children.
  • Using lesson plans to lead small group work.
  • Working alongside children to support the learning in class.
  • Using the behaviour policy to support in the management of behaviour.
To join us and be successful in this role, you will need to:
  • Have school-based experience and ideally a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience and knowledge of phonics phases.
  • Hold a valid DBS or be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
