Job Description

Role: Junior Data Analyst / Management Information Location: Bury Salary: £17,000 - £20,000 DOE We are looking for a bright and sparky data analyst to join a well-established company based in Bury. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious character with little to no experience required and great progression opportunities in place. This role is working with the management information team where you will be responsible for producing analysis reports from the busy sales team. This role will provide analytical insight to the daily trading of the company and will help to improve financial performance and efficiency. To be successful in your application we are looking for someone who is self-motivated and determined to succeed, the right attitude will secure this job! This role consists of 3 key areas:

  • Extracting information from the company database for sales
  • Entering information into Excel and creating graphs / manipulating data
  • Presenting information to management, creating forecasts and making recommendations
    • Your daily / regular responsibilities include:
  • Producing and providing regular reporting and analysis on a daily, weekly and monthly basis based on the requirements of stakeholders
  • Creating regular sales reports in excel using the companys data, requiring editing in excel
  • Extracting data from multiple sources to create meaningful visual data outputs, adding value
  • Assisting in the design of reporting and analysis
  • Finding and suggesting improved ways of reporting
  • Continual learning to improve best practice of analysis and reporting
    • Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for someone with high attention to detail and accuracy. An ideal person will be able to spot problems and find solutions, making suggestions to senior staff in a confident manner - requiring strong verbal and written communication. An ideal candidate may be a school or university leaver with an interest in computers, maths and economics. Strong Excel skills are required but full training is provided.
