Our client is looking for an Imports/Exports Compliance Manager to provide Customs expertise and guidance to deliver the sourcing plan and ensure the business is constantly compliant with all HMRC processes and any changes to legislation are implemented throughout the business.You will be negotiating and managing the contracts, performance and relationships with 3rd party logistics providers and shipping freight partners. Supporting the wider business by driving compliance, best practice and necessary regulatory changes whilst leading and developing the Imports Team through effective coaching and development.Key Skills and ResponsibilitiesImport/Export Declarations - SAD and CFSPCustoms Valuation of GoodsCustoms Warehouse declarations, EIDR and SDWCustoms procedure codes and relevant authorisations specifically CFSPTariff classifications, duty rates, licences and quotasOrigin and PreferenceIncoterms and changes under Incoterms 2020, ensuring correct terms are usedLetters of CreditInward Processing reliefIP authorisations and throughput period reporting and monitoringCustoms warehouse regulationsImporting into TS via C21 and also NCTS and authorised consignee route into ETSF Familiarity with CSP, specifically Destin8Changes to TS under Home Office authorityImpact of UCC on Import and ExportCustoms Audits ensuring a high standard of complianceEU trade now and after BrexitDeclaration changes under CDSTrade with the USAVAT and International tradeInternational Trade ComplianceWorking with Border Force re ETSFWorking with HMRC on CW and IPWorking to SOP’s to ensure compliance to all regulationsWorking with SMT to ensure cost effective workable authorisation structureIdentifying and implementing process efficiencies, where necessary through authorisation amendmentsFright & International LogisticsNegotiate rates for container shipping, haulage and air freight to deliver best possible cost and service.Review and manage performance of shippingWith business stakeholders, develop plans that will deliver cost and service benefits to the businessPersonal Attributes/ExperienceA good communicator with excellent people management skillsA comprehensive knowledge of submitting imports/exports documentation to HMRCDemonstrable experience in a similar role.Strong Microsoft Excel skills Required skills
