Position: Part timeHours: 30+ hours a weekSalary: 22-26k dependent on experienceOur client, a highly established and successful accountancy firm based in Bury, are looking for an experienced Book-keeper to join their cloud accounting team to support various clients across an array of different sectors.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and welcoming team of professionals where you can develop skills and progress you career with full support.Role and Responsibilities- Daily inputting and management of supplier invoices via Dext.- Daily inputting and reconciling of transactions in Xero.- Regular contact with clients ensuring bookkeeping is up to date and in realtime- Credit control procedures for clients.- Preparation of weekly and monthly payroll for clients.- Preparation, review and completion of VAT and CIS returns- Preparation of accounts from incomplete records.- Use of IT including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Xero, Dext and SAGE payroll.- Ad hoc administration duties when needed, including telephone support, filing, etcPreferred Skills- Previous book-keeping experience, in particular use of Xero and Dext would be advantageous but not essential- Good communication & numeracy skills- Excellent time management and a real can do attitude- Good verbal communication, listening skills and confidence using the telephone- Motivated, reliable and responsible, able to work on own initiative as necessary- Strong interpersonal skills, with a real empathy for people and a desire to help them- Able to work effectively within a team and develop positive relationships with colleagues, service users and other professionals- Willing to undertake training and development appropriate for the role
