Job Description

Purchase Ledger Manager / Burton-on-Trent / Permanent / £28,000 - £34,000 Macildowie are excited to be working with a fast growing company based in Burton-on-Trent, who are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager who loves rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in.This is a newly created position due to the rapid expansion the company has undergone.The salary will be between £28,000 - £34,000 dependent on experience.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Managing a medium sized team of 6 Purchase Ledger Clerks
  • Process large volumes of invoices and matching up with orders
  • Reconciling statements
  • Raising payments and being responsible for an entire ledger
  • Process staff expenses and resolve supplier queries
  • Monitoring accuracy of supplier invoices and credit notes and reviewing payment run routines.
  • Review accounts payable accruals and liaise with Management Accountant to ensure accuracy.
  • Produce and review regular creditor reports to ensure up to date and accurate ledgers.
  • Type of Individual:
  • Managerial experience
  • Characteristics of thoroughness, self-motivation, persistence, resilience and dedication
  • Good maths and computer skills especially MS Excel and Sage
  • Analytical and logical problem solving skills
  • An ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way with honesty
  • Open communication style with ability to finding a solution before presenting the problem
