Join us as a Deputy Home Manager.Your skills in bringing out the best in your residential support staff will be put to full use, and enhanced as you are supported to grow professionally.This could also be your next job after this one as we would like to help you progress to being a Registered Manager of your own childrens home.You will have the best support from clinical teams with specialists in Child Sexual Exploitation, Gangs and County Lines, drug and alcohol abuse, self-harming and mental health.You will be guided by our training department to study for and attain a Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management of Residential Childcare.You will also be able to put on your CV that you opened a brand new childrens home.What you will do as a Deputy Manager in our new childrens home:You will be accountable and assist in all aspects of the running of the home including human resources, staff supervision and development, staff rotas, budget, maintenance, good housekeeping and to maintain the physical environment of the home.You will go home each day knowing that you have truly made a difference to young peoples lives.You will nurture and develop the residential staff team, as they in turn nurture and develop disadvantaged children to have the best possible life opportunities.You will develop your networking skills liaising with other professionals to deliver the optimum therapeutic care package for each child in your care.You will also develop your budgeting and finance management skills in making the new home run efficiently.You will gain vital management experience when acting up as the Home Manager in the Registered Managers absence.Is this childrens home Deputy Manager position for youIn accordance with Ofsted regulations, Deputy Managers of childrens homes are required to hold a Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare. Therefore it is essential you hold this qualification.You will need to have recent experience of working in a residential service for children aged under 16.You will also need to be a car driver to be able to drive the homes car in transporting the children to school, appointments and activities.The working hours are long day shifts and sleep ins on a rota basis which includes working some weekend and bank holiday days.
