Job Description

Social Care Workers - up to £11.40 an hr - essential car user postsThe Social Care Community Partnership are looking to recruit a number of Social Care Workers for the West Lothian area to meet the needs of our clients home care services.We are able to pay £10.50 or £11.40 per hour dependent on the level of experience and qualifications held by applicants.We can offer 25 hr and 35 hr contracts until 30/9/21 with opportunities of securing the post on a permanent basis at a later stage and assistance undertaking the SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care if needed. The shift rota has every second weekend off, overtime opportunities and travel time between visits is paid on top of a mileage allowance of 45p a mile.Requirements for this role

  • You must have experience in assisting/administering medication.
  • You must have experience in delivering personal care, assistance with dressing/undressing, assisting in and out of bed and assistance with meal preparation.
  • Ideally we are looking to hear from candidates who possess professional qualifications such as an SVQ2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent although this is not essential.
  • Current registration with the Scottish Social Services Council is also highly desirable although this can be done when on boarding with our company for employment.
  • This is an essential car users post due to rural areas being travelled to.Applicants must have car insurance for Business Use.
