Job Title: Skilled OperatorLocation: BroxburnReporting to: Assistant Production Manager/Team LeaderRole: Skilled OperatorDay Shift (£14.50p/h)Night Shift (£19.33p/h)Pertemps are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Skilled Operator. As a Skilled Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process by operating power saws, utiliisng gas burning equipment to cut pipeand fittings to size, operating hydraulic presses to size bends, and using hydraulic forges to manufacture fittings. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to quality will contribute to our continued success.Main Responsibilities:Ensure strict adherence to all quality procedures as outlined by the company.Manufacture and finish products according to the specified requirements and standards.Identify and communicate any specification changes, ensuring proper documentation and amendment.Report production problems to the Team Leader/Assistant Production Manager promptly.Complete all product identification processes accurately and thoroughly.Perform machine changeovers based on workload requirements and production targets.Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization, adhering to Company Housekeeping standards.Troubleshoot and resolve process running faults, escalating issues when necessary.Comply with all Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Exceed output targets with an efficiency rate of at least 80%.Minimize rejects and aim for zero customer complaints.Take proactive measures to prevent and minimize machine breakdowns through proper machine setup.Ensure all documentation is legible, accurate, and up to date.Continuously work towards reducing recurring manufacturing problems.Contribute constructive comments and ideas to improve processes and operations.Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:Completion of a time-served apprenticeship in any mechanical discipline is a must.Strong fabrication skills are required, although full training will be provided.If you are interested in the role apply online.
