Job Description

The role of the Engineer is to carry out all aspects of plant maintenance and repair to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the production and intake systems, in order to minimise downtime and deliver business objectives.Client DetailsExcellent, well established organisation and great development plans.Description

  • Proactively carry out all aspects of plant maintenance to a planned schedule, seeking solutions where abnormalities occur.
  • Liaising with the internal teams addressing breakdowns or interruptions to production and dealing promptly with any issues, escalating where necessary.
  • An essential aspect of the role is the initiative to drive continuous improvement, reviewing current methodology and opportunities to improve the mills efficiency, safety, quality, and performance.
  • Ensure all relevant maintenance records are accurately recorded to ensure legal compliance and to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Whilst maintaining adequate engineering resource of materials and equipment, effectively liaising with suppliers to meet the needs of the department.
Profile
  • Should ideally have a qualification/apprenticeship in both mechanical and electrical fields and be at minimum 17th Edition certified.
  • Have an excellent understanding of working with strict safety and quality control procedures and KPIs.
  • Be able to demonstrate good experience of implementing both short term and long-term solutions and projects in an engineering function covering both electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail whilst working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment whilst having a heightened awareness of personal safety and a good understanding of safe working practices within an engineering role.
Job OfferSalary: £40,698Overtime: x 1.5Shift Pattern: 42 hours per week on average, working 4 shifts of 12 hours on a 4 on 4 off pattern. You will be required to work both day and night shift and be part of the on-call rota.
