Group Financial AccountantCheshunt, HertfordshireCirca £65,000 + BonusWe are seeking a qualified accountant to join this highly successful business with revenues approaching £150M per annum. This is a newly created role that will work closely alongside the CFO supporting in several key areas across the Group.We are seeking someone with a strong Financial Accounting background who can act as one the main contacts with external advisors and auditors. The role would maybe suit someone who has previously worked in practice (ACA) however this is not a requirement aslong as the candidate has experience dealing with Auditors.Although the role has been newly created and will likely develop some of the key responsibilities are areas of exposure will include:Description* Acting as the key point of contact with Auditors addressing questions during audit for the delivery of year end.* Work with other key advisors to ensure successful audit completion including Group Advisors and Legal.* Act as a key conduit between Group Companies and Auditors ensuring timely filing of all statutory accounts for area of responsibility.* Sense check month end reporting from Group entities (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow).* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the Group.* Oversee Group payables and Treasury, including acting as a key contact with the Banks.* Oversee key expense accounts.* Deal with HMRC queries and some of the company secretarial reporting requirements. * Intercompany accounting and reconciliations.* Provide support for the annual audit and quarterly review processes.* Prepare deliverables and co-ordinate the audit being a key liaison with the external auditors.* Improve, streamline and assist with process and procedure improvement.* Adhoc projects and tasks to support the wider finance team and function.What we are looking for:* Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) * Previous experience of Financial Accounting and dealing with Auditors* Excellent communication skills at all levels* Disciplined, detailed approach with attention to detail and an eye on quality of output.* Self-confidence to challenge as appropriate* Self-motivated team player with a positive, can do approachAGY - Vitae Financial RecruitmentWe Exist To Be Different - Membership NOT Registration
