Job Description

Job Title: Vehicle and Tools Maintenance ManagerSalary: £25,000 - £32,000Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekOur client is a premium garage equipment company based in Yorkshire. They are the largest independent garage company in the UK.They have made their mark in the industry and continue to do so.Job Purpose: Responsible for the cost-effective management and maintenance of fleet tools and our clients 70+ fleet of VW and Mercedes vans, ensuring all vehicles are maintained, fit for purpose, legally compliant, and meet the demands of the end user.Main Responsibilities:

  • Control all aspects of vehicle maintenance - arranging major repairs, servicing & MOTs, and carrying out minor repairs which do not require specialist knowledge.
  • Control all aspects of fleet tool supply and maintenance.
  • Driving duties to include taking vehicles to local workshops for maintenance activities, collecting items from local suppliers, occasionally driving items to sites in the UK in support of the Installations teams.
  • Keep accurate records of fleet activities/ issues and report and act on any safety related items.
  • Manage all vehicle accessory items such as racking.
  • Assist with implementing and prompting policies and procedures to drive best practice.
  • Manage all road transport related fines, including fixed penalties, congestion charges etc.
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
  • Experienced and competent in hands-on fleet management.
  • Knowledge of relevant DVSA / Health and Safety Regulations
  • Hands on mechanical experience advantageous.
