Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for a Process Operative to join a leading company Brough. The company are looking for a new Process Operative to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful applicant will support the Operations team, operating in several areas of the factory and reporting directly to the Process Manager.What’s on offer…

  • 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
  • Nights - salary £28,4000 per annum

    • Friendly working environment with the opportunity to progress!Main duties of the Process Operative:
  • Unloading incoming stock from vehicles / tankers
  • Work as part of a team, tipping bulk materials (waste cooking oils) from IBC’s and barrels
  • Operating various machinery such as the butter process and centrifuge machine
  • To ensure a safe operating environment, maintaining high standards of department hygiene in accordance with health and safety expectations
  • General shunting of materials in the factory and across site
  • Carrying out equipment husbandry and general maintenance of equipment
  • To provide good judgement concerning incidents, hazards or potential hazards
  • Sampling of materials
  • Stock rotation of oil materials
  • Control of taking in food waste and mixing with a skid steer plant equipment
    • Key Skills:
  • Up to date counterbalance license and shunting experience (essential)
  • Bobcat and centrifuge experience (desirable)
  • To be proficient in the operation of machinery on all lines
  • To ensure a safe operating culture, with the ability to carry out thorough and accurate risk assessments as and when required
  • Always demonstrating a can-do attitude
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Efficiency when working alone with the self-motivation to maximise productivity
  • Demonstrating a degree of flexibility in order to react to unexpected aspects of daily work
    • This is a fast paced, active role which will require the Process Operative to work closely within the factory team. Consistently working to improve departmental procedures and efficiency, continually assessing and reporting on any Health & Safety risks whilst creating maximum output of stock. Required skills
